CHARLES CITY - Services for Melvin J. Ellis, 72, who died Sunday at the Floyd County Memorial Hospital will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Hauser Funeral Home, burial in Riverside Cemetery with military rites. Survivors include his wife, Marion, two stepsons, Roger Volbrecht of Briltol, Ill., and Donald Volbrecht of Dallas, Tex., a stepdaughter, Mrs. Tom (Sheryl) Millirons of Oxnard, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Leo (Annie) Herzog of Mason City and Mrs. Irene Springer of Charles City; a brother, Charles Ellis of Charles City; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the funeral chapel after 7 p.m. Monday.
