Services for David L. Benton Jr., 77, of Lubbock will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Parkway Drive Church of Christ with Gerald Jackson and David Fultz officiating.
Burial will be in Ralls Cemetery under the direction of Adams Funeral Home of Ralls.
He died Sunday, Aug. 12, 2001.
He was born Oct. 17, 1923, in Ralls and married Elenore McGorray on April 7, 1946, in Fresno, Calif. He moved to Lubbock in 1952 from San Francisco, Calif., and was a World War II veteran, serving in the U.S. Navy. He owned Industrial Electronics and was part owner of Advanced Electronics and College TV. He was a member of Parkway Drive Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife; a son, David of Milton, Fla.; four daughters, Marilyn McDonald of Andrews, Barbara Morrison of Minooka, Ill., Darlene Bewley of Lubbock and Marlene Coleman of Georgetown; 11 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Viewing will be from 10:30 a.m. to service time Thursday at the church.
