Lawrence Duncan

RIENZI – Lawrence Duncan, 85, died Thursday, Nov. 17, 2005, at his home. He was born Feb. 23, 1920, in Prentiss County to John C. Duncan and Dora (Searcy) Duncan.

He was a retired employee of Garan Garment Factory and a veteran of World War II.

Services will be at 1 p.m. today at the Corinthian Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Russell Hamm officiating. Burial will be in Forrest Memorial Park in Corinth.

Survivors include one son, Junior Duncan and wife, Theresa, of Rienzi; three daughters, Barbara Allen and husband, Sam, Marilyn Wilson, and Cynthia Gates and husband, Ronnie, all of Rienzi; three brothers, Alfred Duncan, J.N. Duncan and Harry Duncan, all of Rienzi; 14 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita (Bragg) Duncan, on June 6, 2005; a son, Johnny Warren Duncan; a grandson, Jamie Duncan; a brother, Leonard Duncan; and a sister, Syble Dennis.
