Different variations of his last named was spelled, Archer, Archie, Arche,Archery and Archy. He married Mary Jane Jones on Jan. 25, 1850 in Greenup Co, Ky. My Grandfather was John Wesley Archey Jr. I changed the birth year to 1807 due to the fact his monument states he was 82 when he died in 1889. That makes more sense than the year 1820. Which would have made him 69 when he died.

(Hard to tell if there was more after this). *With the close up photo added from October 2019, it looks like he died Dec. 6, 1889. A lot of space in between Dec. and 6. **Looks like ACE, but that doesn't make sense, so I think it's AGE and was just inscribed on stone incorrectly. I am told "83 years of his age" means he was 82 years old. His 1850, 1860 and 1870 Greenup County KY censuses give age range of 1813-1815 and 1880 census in that same county gives 1820 which I think is less reliable. If he was 82 yrs old at his death that would mean b. abt 1807 which is 6-8 yrs off early censuses. (By Find A Grave user: arborvitae # 47298569)
