OBITUARY - GEORGE BEADLE

Died, January 7th, 1888, Mr. George BEADLE, aged 64 [born in 1823]. Mr. BEADLE has been an inalid for quite a number of years, has lived in Iowa about 18 years. He was a man of property, and used it in doing good to his fellow men in giving to the needy and helping the poor. He was a man of excellent judgment, of good social qualities, making every one about him pleasant and happy. he was respected by all who knew him and will be missed by the community in which he lived.
The funeral service was conducted by the writer, at the residence of the deceased. After a short service at the house, he was followed by a large concourse of people, to his last resting place in the cemetery near the High Point church [Oliver Cemetery], to await the resurrection morn. -G.E.
