Edith (Manuel) Gormanous-Hatch

Funeral services for Ms. Edith Hatch will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 in the Rush Chapel, Oakdale, with Reverend Nicholas Hodges officiating.
Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale.
Ms. Hatch, 91, of Oakdale passed away peacefully at Christus St. Patrick’s Hospital in Lake Charles, LA.
A resident of Oakdale, La, Edith had of late resided with her son, Phillip, in Westlake, LA. She had also lived in Jonesboro, LA and Elizabeth, LA.
Edith was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church of Oakdale for many years. She cherished her many family members and lifelong friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband; Mitchell Gormanous and sons; D.L. Gormanous and Ronald Gormanous, her parents; Leon and Florence Manuel, her late husband; Mitch Hatch and great grandson; Christopher Routt.
Ms. Hatch is survived by her son; Phillip, and wife Jackie of Westlake, LA, daughter-in-law; Martha Gormanous of Haughton, LA and sister; Eula Bruette, of Lake Charles, LA, step son; Danny Hatch and his wife Vickie of Jonesboro, LA; step daughters, Jimmie of Jonesboro, La and Betty of Goldonna, La. Edith with great pride and love, cherished her eight grandchildren; Heather Gormanous of Gonzales, LA, Kimberly Stafford of Haughton, LA, Angela Veatch of Fort Smith, Arkansas, Scott Gormanous of Bremerton, Washington, Bill Gormanous of Moss Bluff, LA, Melody LaFleur of Carlyss, LA, Jennifer White of Carlyss, LA and Michelle Jordan of Westlake, LA. Also eighteen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Those honored to serves as pallbearers are: Clifton Veatch, John Stafford, Bill Gormanous, Scott Gormanous, Ryan Jordan and Dewayne Bruette.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at Rush Funeral Home, Oakdale from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
