Business Leader Died in Vancouver

Funeral services for Charles Thornton Ladd, who was a board member of the Federal Savings and Loan bank, Vancouver, Wash., will be Friday at 11 a.m. at the Vancouver Funeral chapel. Dr. Paul S. Wright of the Portland First Presbyterian church, will officiate. Interment will be at the Riverview cemetery, Portland. He was born October 6, 1890 and had resided in Portland for several years prior to moving to Vancouver. In Portland he was a member of the school board of the Riverdale school in the Dunthorpe district. Mr. Ladd had served in World War I and was prominent in the bulb growing business at Battle Ground, Wash. He also owned several pieces of real estate in Vancouver. Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Edith Ladd, Vancouver; two daughters, Mrs. Martha Barnes, Pasadena, and Mrs. Meta Chase, Walnut Creek, Cal.; a son Thornton Ladd, Pasadena, and a brother, Dr. William S. Ladd, New York city.
