Geneva Hill Hylton, 86, of Marrowbone Creek, died Sunday, Oct. 4, 2015, at Pikeville Medical Center. She was born in Pike County, May 24, 1929, the daughter of the late Elzia Hill and May Adkins Hill Hylton. She was a homemaker and a member of the Rockhouse Unity Freewill Baptist Church. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Hylton; her stepfather, Jim Hylton; one brother, Ruben Hill; and one sister, Eva Adkins Burke. She is survived by one daughter, Paula Coleman (Elmer); four brothers, LeRoy Hill, Bud Ray Hill, Ray Hylton and Kermeal Hylton; three sisters, Elouise Rowe, Lorean Adkins and Nella Jean Stanley; and one grandchild, John Thomas Brown Jr. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 8, in the Rockhouse Unity Freewill Baptist Church with Freewill Baptist ministers officiating. Burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery, East Shelbiana. Arrangements are under direction of Lucas & Son Funeral Home of Pikeville.
