Clifford Miles Abbott, 93 of Pensacola, FL, passed away on Sunday, October 4, 2015.

He was born in Jay, FL on June 8, 1922. Clifford graduated from seminary at Emory University and joined the Alabama/West FL Conference of the United Methodist Church. Rev. Abbott’s clergy appointments include Robertsdale-Marlow, Opelika, Pepperell, Tallassee- First, Fairhope, Toulminville, Marianna- First, Montgomery- St. James, Enterprise- First, Andalusia District Superintendent, Pensacola District Superintendent, and Pensacola- St. Mark. After retiring in 1987, he served Pollard, retired again in 1993, then served Mae Edwards, and retired again in 2003.

Clifford was an avid fan of the Auburn Tigers. However, his love in life was to preach and share Jesus with all. His last words to his family was to insure that everyone know and give their life to Jesus.

Clifford is preceded in death by his daughter, Beverly and son, Benny.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 74 years, WeeWau;
A visitation will begin at 9:00am until the Funeral Service at 10:30am Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at St. Luke United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Bayview Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Diabetes, 514 N. Davis Hwy., #211, Pensacola, FL 32501.
