Funeral services will be held at 1:00 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, May 16, from the Faith Lutheran Church for Mrs. Carl (Bertha Viola) Jacobson, 66, who died at her residence in Balkan Township on May 13.
The long-time Chisholm resident was born Aug. 9, 1912 in Marengo, Wisc. She moved to Chisholm in 1930 and was married in 1933 to Carl Jacobson. She worked at the Chisholm Memorial Hospital as a housekeeper until 1973.
Surviving are her husband, Carl; two daughters, Mrs. Paul (Carol) McCabe of Hastings; and Mrs. Nick (Sharen) Kantos of International Falls; a son Dennis Jacobson of Chisholm; eight grand children; and one great grand child. Also four sisters, Hilma Winquist of Pittsburgh, Pa., Mabel Mikkonen of Marengo; Florence Derda of Ashland, Wisc., and Mildred Thomson of California.
Visitation is being held at the Rupp Funeral Home today (Tuesday) from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m.
Internment will be made in the Chisholm Cemetery, and the Rev. Leonard Pankuch will officiate. The grandsons will be the pall bearers.
