Pekin ~ Dorothy E. Harris, 92, of 1520 El Camino Drive, died at 8:50 a.m., Monday, October 31, 2005 at Pekin Manor. She was formerly of Fairfield.
Born November 11, 1912 in Cisne to William D. and Nellie Milner DeSelms, she married Verl Harris on May 23, 1931 in Fairfield. He died November 20, 2000. She also was preceded in death by one grandson; one sister and one brother.
Surviving are one daughter, Marjorie (Cecil) Neaveill of Marquette Heights; one grandchild; three great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Harris was a homemaker.
She was a member of Pleasant Grove Christian Church in Geff.
Her funeral service will be at noon Friday, November 4, 2005 at Nale's Funeral Home in Fairfield, where visitation will be two hours before the service. Brother Glenn Jackson will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery in Fairfield.
Local arrangements have been entrusted to Preston-Hanley Funeral Home, Pekin Chapel.
