A saintly and exemplary figure of the Franciscan Order, Friar Giuseppe Spoletini OFM., served as vice-parish priest of the church of San Francesco a Ripa in Rome between 1906 and 1919 and again for seven years as of 1944, successively serving as confessor until his death. Originally buried at the Campo Verano Cemetery of Rome, on May 24, 1974 his remains were re-interred in the same church where he served for so many years.
