It was in Boulder City where she met and married the love of her life, Ralph S. Davis. Ralph and Val were blessed with the birth of their daughter, Debbie in 1958. Her family was a source of great pride and she never missed an opportunity to brag about them to everyone.
Val loved Boulder City, especially her church family at Bethany Baptist Church. She served as deaconess and was always available to lend helping hands for any work that needed to be done at the church. Val's faith in God was evident as she often guided conversations to spiritual topics and was always ready to share her love of Jesus.
She also served the community as "Noble Grand" of Cactus Rebekah Lodge, Independent Order of Odd Fellows, in 1986 and 1987 and as Vice Grand in 1985.
Val was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph; sister, Barbara Thomas; and her mother, Elsa Valores. She is survived by her daughter, Debra Cattoir, and her husband, Andrew Cattoir; grandchildren, Aaron Cattoir, and his wife, Briana Cattoir, and Courtney Lefferts and her husband, Brock Lefferts; great-grandchild, Kennedy Jay Cattoir; and nieces, Donna Nightingale and Robin Uribe.
Services were held at Bethany Baptist Church. Burial was at Boulder City Cemetery alongside her husband, Ralph.
