L. BYRNS DIXON, 80, of Albright (Lenox Community), WV, died Thursday, January 8, 2015, at his home The son of the late Jesse Henry and Amy Viola Bishop Dixon, he was born December 9, 1934, at Terra Alta, WV. He was a coal miner, operated a saw mill, built houses, did masonry work, a farmer and a timberman. Byrns enjoyed hunting and fishing. He is survived by two daughter and spouses, Cheryl Ann and Rick Conner and Crystal Kim and Bill Stonebraker of Albright; three sons and spouses: Frederick Byrns and Kim Dixon, Rowdy Paul and Brenda Dixon, and Mark Anthony and Melissa Dixon of Albright; four brothers: Ray, Franklin, Dale and Fred Dixon; three sisters: Charlotte Bainbridge, Nada Brown, Illa Fullmer; three sister-in-laws, Mitzy, Lou and Helen Dixon; six grandchildren: April Dixon, Sabrina Tasker, Ben, Tabatha, Matthew Dixon and Anna Stonebraker; three great-grandchildren: Crosby, Kain and Chase and several step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Bishoff Dixon, August 12, 2003; and eight brothers: Kenneth, Warren (Shavie), Robert, Donald, Jesse H. Jr., Lloyd, Morris and Willard (Pill) Dixon, and a sister Nettie Gidley. Family and friends may call at the Carl R. Spear Funeral Home in Brandonville-Bruceton Mills, WV, Sunday, January 11, 2015, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., service by the family will follow in the funeral home. Burial will be in the Lenox Memorial (Lutheran) Cemetery, Lenox, WV, at the families convenience.
