Mrs. Samuel F. White, widow of a Kentucky newspaper publisher, died yesterday at her home, 128 Coral, at the age of 73.
The funeral will be at 10:30 am Thursday at H.C. Cralle Funeral Home with burial in Cave Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. White, the former Miss Mary Coffee, was a member of Crescent Hill Methodist Church. Her late husband published newspapers at Campbellsville, Jamestown, and Columbia, and once was proofreader for The Louisville Times and The Courier - Journal. He died i n 1956.
Survivors include a son, Kenneth R. White, Sr., Alexandria, Va., two brothers, George Coffey of Texas and Sales Coffey of Columbia, Ky., and three grandchildren, John Gowdy White, Kenneth White, Jr., and Miss Patricia Lee White. - The Courier Journal
NOTE: Mr. White and his fellow townsman, Sam N. Hancock of Columbia, published the Monticello Courier, here, for some months about 1902. The plant was located in a Metal Building where the Outlook is now located.
Sam had many friends here, who will learn with sincere regret of his passing as he was a splendid citizen, liked by all who knew him.
