August E.R. "Hap" Brandt of Willow Grove died Friday at Abington Memorial Hospital. He was 72. He was the husband of Lillian McCracken Brandt. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in October. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he was a son of the late Ernest and Ethel Raynor Brandt. He moved to Willow Grove in 1955. Before his retirement, Mr. Brandt was a sales manager for General Tire Co. He was a past manager and commissioner of the Upper Moreland Little League. He was a WWII Veteran of the Navy. Mr. Brandt was a member of the Disabled Veterans of America, the American Legion, and the William C. Hamilton-Keystone Lodge No. 271, F&AM. He was a member of the Willow Grove United Methodist Church, and of the church's Doers senior citizens club. Services will be at his church.
