Jessie is the mother of my godson. She was a strong and vibrant young woman who left us too soon. She will be missed by so many people.
Clinton - Jessica Marie Carnes, 30, died Sunday, October 11, 2015 at Umass Medical Center in Worcester after being stricken ill. She is predeceased by her mother, Kathleen Carnes, who died in 2004. She is survived by her loving son, her brother and his companion and their daughter, her maternal grandmother Jean (Hastings) Carnes, wife of the late John R. Carnes, Sr., all of Clinton. She leaves generations of aunts & uncles cousins, and numerous dear friends. Jessica was born in Mentor, Ohio, and later raised in Clinton, where she attended local schools and was active in cheerleading, softball, dance, and Girl Scouts. She graduated from the Clinton High School, Class of 2003, obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Becker College and a Master of Arts degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from Assumption College. Following studies, Jessica had begun her career as a case manager and was currently employed with Devereux Massachusetts. She was a dedicated mother who devoted herself to raising her son and cherished every moment spent in his company. She had a vibrant spirit and passion for travel, shopping, country music, and the beach. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 16, 2015 from the Philbin-Comeau Funeral Home, 176 Water St., Clinton, with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10AM in St. John the Evangelist Church, 80 Union St., Clinton. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Lancaster. Calling hours will be held in the funeral home on Thursday, October 15, 2015 from 4 until 7PM.
