Gladys was born in Waco, Texas, to the late Claude and Edna Pearl McBride Gardner. On July 24, 1970, she married John R. Beane in McLennan County, Texas. She was a seamstress most of her life at Wolfe Manufacturing Co. She enjoyed sewing, crossword puzzles, and her grandchildren. She worked hard all of her life to provide unselfishly for her family. Her kind, generous spirit was her greatest strength. She was a wonderful, devoted "Nanny" to many people.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Richard "Dick" Beane; two daughters; and her sisters.
Survivors include her stepson, Ronnie Hill, of Waco; grandchildren: Charles Joseph Snider, of Westlake, Sandra Kay Ernoian, of China Spring, and Harold Snider, of West; six great-grandchildren; and nine great-great-grandchildren.
