The wife of Momon pioneer Jefferson Hunt, she married Hunt in 1823, converted to Mormonism is 1834 and was part of the Mormon Batallion which started in Council Bluffs, Iowa and settled in California. Her husband was very prominent on local politics and one of the first members of the church to practice polygamy, taking a second wife after Celia. Her and Jefferson Hunt had 12 children, eight girls and four boys, and are related to the political family "Udall" who are prominent in Arizona politics in the 21st century.
