Thurl C. Richards, 88, 232 Tillson Road, Hollansburg, Ohio, died Thursday, April 25, 2002, at Rest Haven Nursing Home, Greenville, Ohio.
He was born in Hollansburg, Ohio, March 14, 1914, to George and Susan Stump Richards. He was a farmer. He trained and raised Standard Bred Horses and was an original member of the Drake County Harness Association.
Survivors include one son, Duane Richards, Palestine, Ohio; two grandsons, Ron and Jeff Richards; six great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Rema Richards, who died in 1988; two brothers, Harley and Earl Richards; three sisters, Ertie Moore, Pearl Heck and Norene Noggle.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. (Indiana time) Tuesday, April 30, 2002, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road W., Richmond, Ind., with Rev. Clyde Hylton officiating.
Burial will be in Abington Cemetery.
Friends may call from 8-10 a.m. (Indiana time) at the funeral home.
