Mrs. Deborah Corwin
Deborah Ann Everitt, widow of Joshua Corwin, died Thursday, Sept. 7, at her home near New Vernon, aged about 85 years.
She lived on the homestead where she was born in 1820, and had spent most of her life there.
Deceased is survived by four children: Silas P. and Deborah, at home; Hattie E., wife of Herbert Ketcham, of Newburgh, and Susie, wife of Geo. Reed, of Middletown. A son, Oliver, of Middletown, died about two years ago, and a daughter, Mary, died in St. Louis, Mo., several years ago.
Her granddaughter, Nellie Bull, has made her home with her for a number of years.
Mrs. Corwin was a member of the Old School Baptist Church of New Vernon.
The funeral was held at the house Sunday afternoon, and interment was in New Vernon Cemetery.
