Marty Abramson passed away peacefully at the age of 91 on October 7th. He was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, attended Lehigh University before enrolling in the Navy's V-12 program. He then served proudly as a deck officer on the U.S.S. Vermillion during WWII.
Marty attended UC Berkeley graduating with a degree in civil engineering during which time he met his wife Catherine (Kitty) of 67 years. Together they raised two children.
He enjoyed his career of 33 years at the Public Utilities Commission. Marty loved golf and his Cal Bears!
He is survived by his wife Catherine; daughter Carol; son Greg and grandson Russell.
His kindness and generosity will truly be missed.
