Funeral services were held Sunday at the Eaton and Blute Funeral Home in Harwich for Albert Paul Bucher, 79, of 150 Depot St., Dennis Port. He died at Cape Cod Hospital. A native of Elgin, Ill., he was the son of Athanasius and Carrie (Hass) Bucher and had resided in Dennis Port for 35 years. He owned Rose Arbor Guest House and before his retirement was manager of First National Stores in Hyannis and Dennis Port. He also served as a postal clerk at Dennis Port for a number of years. A World War I Army veteran, he served in St. Mihiel and Meuse-Argonne offensives and was a veteran member of Prospect Lodge 35,100F, Waltham. He was also a member of Mt. Horeb Lodge, A.F. and A.M., West Harwich; Harwich Post American Legion 292; Veterans of World War I of U.S.A. Barracks 2201 of Cape Cod and the American Association of Retired Persons. 4 Survivors include a sister, Miss Genevieve E. Bucher of Waltham, and several nieces and nephews. Burial was in Swan Lake Cemetery, Dennis Port.
