Evelyn Hartley was babysitting at a professor's home on Oct 24, 1953. At 7:15 pm neighbors heard screams but thought is was children playing. She was suppose to call home at 8:30 pm. When she failed to call, her father drove over to check on her. He found one of her shoes at the bottom of the stairs in the basement and her other shoe and glasses in the living room. Evelyn has never been found.
