Mrs. I.C. McCarter: Funeral services for Mrs. Kathryn (Cartwright) McCarter, 70, of Roanoke were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Dove Road Church of Christ. Burial was in Parker Memorial Cemetery with Lucas Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers were Benny Kemp of Irving, Don Blackburn of Grapevine, Roy Mooney of Grapevine, Ray Leigh of Ennis, Terry Holt of Smithfield and Doyle Welch of Colleyville.
Mrs. McCarter, a native of Eldorado, had lived in Grapevine before moving to Roanoke several years ago. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include her husband, Issac Casey McCarter of Roanoke; 2 sons, William Casey McCarter of Grapevine, Robert Wayne Lawhon of Roanoke; a daughter, Mrs. Betty George(Lawhon)Jordan of Bedford, three stepdaughters, Mrs. Loretta(Lawhon)Cobb and Mrs. Rable(Lawhon)Cobb of Lancaster, and Mrs. Anita(Lawhon)Rust of Dallas; a sister, Mrs. Ella(Cartwright)Rippy of Fort Worth and seven grandchildren.
