Gene Edwin Hunter, 63, of Charles Town, WV, died Monday, February 17, 2014 in Winchester Medical Center.
He was born March 16, 1950 in Maryland the son of James Dixon and Margaret Virginia Walker Hunter.
Mr. Hunter had been an auto mechanic.
Surviving in addition to his mother of Rockville, MD are a daughter, Dawn T. Williams of Fredericksburg, VA; two sons, Darin L. Shrewsberry of Parkersburg, WV and Gary E. Hunter of Summerduck, VA; three stepdaughters, Connie Denman-Hardy of Frederick, MD, Alice Wimsatt of Thurmont, MD and B.J. Denman-Fox of Hagerstown, MD; five brothers, James B. Hunter of Warrenton, VA, Charles D. Hunter of Gaithersburg, MD, Richard L. Hunter of Lynchburg, VA, John F. Hunter of Ranson, WV and Roger U. Hunter of Frederick, MD; fourteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A family gathering will be held at the Stafford Moose, 422 Eskimo Hill Road, Stafford, VA 22554, on Sunday, February 26, 2014 from 2 pm to 6 pm. For information call (540) 659-6266.
