Barker L. Cox, of 805 W. Nowland died at 5:15 p.m. Friday at Methodist Medical Center.

Born Aug. 16, 1913, in Peoria, a son of L.A. and Pearl Davidson Cox, he married Bridget Kelly Aug. 22, 1939, in Burlington, Iowa.

He was a musician, playing with the Leo Luhaharts Orchestra many years, and was a member of Musicians Union Local 26. He was last employed at Peoria Area Blind Peoples Center as a general foreman.

Surviving are his wife and one nephew, Kenneth Cox, of Peoria. One brother preceded him in death.

Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday at Wilton Mortuary, the Rev. James Sandy officiating. Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. tomorrow at the morturary.

Memorials may be made to Peoria Area Blind Peoples Center.
