Glenn Alvin Stevens, 72, of OKC, passed away Saturday July 7, 2001. Born 9 Dec 1928 in OKC to Walter Alvin Stevens & Alma Ruth Colglazier. On Nov 12, 1948, Glenn married his childhood sweetheart, M. Afinowicz. He honorably served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps and U.S. Navy Reserve. A lifelong resident of OKC, he retired after working most of his life as a Machinist. Glenn was a gifted & talented artist and he especially enjoyed making model airplanes. He was an avid bowler and coached Junior League Bowling at Penn 44 as well as Southside Optimist Baseball. Glenn was a member at Brookwood Baptist Church. For 49 years, he was an active member at Bethel Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. He was preceded in death by his father; grandson, Jeffrey Michael Stevens; and stepfather, Jack Sigmon. He is survived by his wife of the home; mother, son G.S. & wife of Mansfield, TX, son M.S. & wife of OKC, son T.S. & wife of OKC, daughter C.M. & husband Tony of OKC, & son M.S. of OKC; grandchildren, David, Micah, Rebekah, Katurah, Zac, Michelle, Brett, Brooke, Braeden, & Joshua. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Ravi Malpani & Staff of CENTRIS at S.W. Medical Center in OKC for their loving care and support. Memorials may be made to Brookwood Baptist Church Building Fund. Services will be 10:00 AM Mon. July 9, 2001 at Brookwood Baptist Church. Interment to follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
