Dwight Trosper January 13, 1926 - October 11, 2015 Oceanside Dwight Trosper, 89, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 11, 2015. He was born on January 13, 1926 in Beaver, Oklahoma. He joined the Navy at age 18 and was stationed at Alameda, California where he met his wife Teddy, who preceded him in death in 2006 after 60 years of marriage. They settled in Southern California where he owned several businesses. He retired after selling his Fire Extinguisher business in El Monte and moved to Oceanside, California where he was an active member of the local Elks Club and the Oceanside Golf Club. He made his first hole-in-one at age 79. He also enjoyed spending time playing poker at the Ocean's Eleven Casino and traveling on several cruises with his wife, Teddy. Dwight was a caring and loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. He and his sense of humor will be dearly missed. His smile and laughter live in our hearts forever. Dwight is survived by his sister, Rhea Rutz; two daughters, Jill Trosper and Beccie (Jim) Dawson; three grandchildren, Eric Crossman, Melissa Andersson and David Anderson; two-granddaughters-in-law, Dina Crossman and Brandi Anderson; and three great-grandchildren, Ella, Tessa and Owen.A memorial service will be held on Monday, November 2 at 11:30 a.m., at the Riverside National Cemetery, 22495 Van Buren Blvd., Riverside, CA.
