Mary Terecia (Wade) Sutton was born on October 20, 1926 at Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee, the daughter of Judge William James Wade (1899-1966) and Mary Terecia (Price) (Wade) Martin (1903-1997).
She was educated at Woodmont Elementary School, Hillsboro High School and Vanderbilt University, and she was a member of Delta Delta Delta Sorority, had an English major at Vanderbilt and graduated in 1948.
Mary was married On September 1, 1948 to Barrett Boulware Sutton Sr (1927-2015) of Forsyth, Georgia, and he was the son of James Phinazee Sutton Sr (1874-1936) and Katherine Woodward (Boulware) Sutton (1885-1974).
Mary passed away on September 20, 2012 at Woodcrest Health Center.
She was preceded in death by her parents and by her brother Charles Donelson Wade (1931-1956), while survivors included her husband; three children; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a married brother; two married cousins; and many wonderful friends.
Memorial Services were held at First Presbyterian Church on Franklin Road, and burial was in the Columbarium at the church.
