William C. "Butch" Benjamin, III died Saturday, September 26 at his home in Aberdeen. He was 66. Born in Havre de Grace he was the son of the late William C. & Anna Mae (Thompson) Benjamin, Jr. and husband of the late Kelly (Anderson) Benjamin who died in 1989. Over the years Mr. Benjamin had owned several businesses in the Aberdeen area, including the Dairy Queen and Safety First. He was a life member of the Aberdeen Fire Department. He is survived by his son, Chip Benjamin of Aberdeen, daughter, Brandy Kelley of Rosedale, sister Beverly Yost of Aberdeen, granddaughters, Erikka L. Osborne and Keira R. Kelley and his great grandson Felix. A visitation will be held at the family owned Tarring-Cargo Funeral Home on Saturday, October 10 from 10:00am-12:00pm. Contributions in his memory may be made to the Aberdeen Fire Department, 21 N. Rogers St., Aberdeen, MD 21001.
