Cathy Brown, loving wife, mother, and grandmother, age 56, joined her Heavenly Father, Sunday Oct. 18, 2015, after a lengthy battle after a massive heart attack. Graveside services will be 10 A.M. Saturday, Oct.31, 2015, at the Chapel Hill Cemetery in Waco by Foss Funeral Home & Cremation Center.
Cathy was born November 17, 1958, in Corsicana, Texas to James and Betty (Combs) Brown.
Cathy married Thomas Brown December 17, 1993 in Bell County.
Cathy was very active in genealogy and spent many years researching for Find-A-Grave for people all over the world. She was also very proud to be the fundraising coordinator for the Bruceville-Eddy EMS & Fire Department for many years.
She formerly was Seaman for the U.S. Coast Guard.
Cathy was preceded in death by her father, James Allen Brown, her baby brother, Charles Allen Brown, and her in-laws, Frank and Mary Brown.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She touched the lives of many people.
Survivors: her husband, Tom Brown of Eddy TX; two daughters Allenson Hayden and husband Christopher of Eddy TX, Chelsey Shelton and husband Jeff; Mother: Betty J. Brown; 2 sisters: Robin R. Burrough, Debbie L. Hallmark, both of Waco TX; a brother: Chris Brown; 3 grandchildren: Cole Daniel Strickland, Deborah Faye Bruner and Jase Allen Hayden, (who is pictured in the photo with his grandma, and was the reason she fought so hard to stay on this earth to await his birth on August 8, 2015), many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.

She attended Robinson schools and was a champion of the Eddy Volunteer fire department.
Cathy was known as the "May Fest Queen" of Eddy TX.
Mrs. Brown assisted many people with their research of their adoptions. Helping 15 adults find their birth families. She was a blessing to our many people.
