Fannie Davis Caves was married twice. I have found little about her first husband, Mr. Davis, and am unsure of his name. The following are children I know she had with her first husband: Alfred Davis and Zara Davis, who are mentioned in her will. Her second husband, however, was Thomas Caves Sr. This was Thomas Caves Sr.'s third marriage, as his first two wives had died.

The Caves lived in Dubois County, Indiana. Here, their only common child, Thomas Caves Jr., was born, married and died. Then Fanny began to care for his children, Julia Ann Caves and Rosa Caves. After her death, her will specified that her son, Alfred Caves, would care for Julia, and her son, Zara, would care for Rosa.

Fanny died in 1858, but her gravesite is yet unknown.
