“William Dalton died at Willard Friday evening, aged 55 years. The remains were brought to the home of William Wilson where the funeral was held Monday afternoon, Rev. C. H. Norris, officiating, burial in East Wayland cemetery. Mr. Dalton lived in this town most of his life. Four years ago he with his sister Phoebe purchased a farm near Corning, N.Y., where he lived until he went to Willard a year ago.”
