David Allen Mosconi, 61, of Arkansas City, died Sunday (October 18, 2015) at the Wesley Medical Center of Wichita. Friends may greet the family 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Cremation will follow. A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday (October 23, 2015) at the Rindt-Erdman Funeral Home. Steve Bilyeu will officiate. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery.
David was born February 24, 1954, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to Ludwig John and Phyllis Jean (Shelley) Mosconi. He was reared and educated in Milwaukee for a while until his family moved to Duncanville, Texas. David later moved to Arkansas City after serving the United States Army. He attended Cowley College and Southwestern College earning degrees in Early Childhood Education and Business Administration. David has been married to and later divorced from Janet McKoon and Ginny Burkhart. He as worked as a chef, baker, and gas station attendant. He owned and operated David’s Wash and Wax locally for several years.
Survivors include three children Holly Mosconi, Timothy Mosconi and Jeri Mosconi all of Arkansas City; step son Shane Fuller of Arkansas City; siblings Jeanie Mosconi, Richard Mosconi and Patrick Mosconi all of Duncanville, Larry Mosconi of Waxahachie, Texas; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a son Chris Mosconi, and two brothers Gary and Brian Mosconi.
A memorial has been made to the American Diabetes Association. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
