Harold is the son of William Nelson Stafford and Amelia (Schutt) Stafford.

Obit: Harold Albert Stafford, 186 Elm Drive, died Friday Dec. 16, 1983, at St.Mary's Hospital and Medical Center after a lengthy illness. He was 78. Mr. Stafford, a resident of Grand Junction for 50 years, was a retired self-employed contractor and coal miner in Eastern Utah and Western Colorado. He was born July 22, 1905, in Decatur, Illinois. He spent his childhood in Hale, colo., and St. Francis, Kansas where he attended schools. He married Antoinette F. Sodja March 23, 1935 in Grand Junction. She survives. Mr. Stafford had been a resident of Hale from 1910 - 1932, prior to moving to Grand Junction. He was a member of the Baptist church and the United Mine Workers of America. Survivors in addition to his wife include three sons. Darold of Moffat, Calif., and Harold and Carmen "Butch" both of Grand Junction; four daughters. Phyllis Stickle of Healy, Alaska, Carol Lynn Robinson of Whitewater, JoAnn Hill of Clifton and Shirley Jenkins of Glade Park. tow brothers, Walter Weeden of St.Francis and Ralph Stafford of Borger Texas and two sister, hazel Wiggins of ST.Francis and eva Doerfer of Penrose; 27 grandchildren and four great grand children.
