MANSFIELD: William E. Brown, 64, of Mansfield, died Saturday, October 29, 2011 at Mansfield Memorial Homes. Born October 8, 1947 in Portsmouth, Ohio he was the son of William T. and Ellie (Horner) Brown. Having a strong work ethic he was a foreman in the construction industry, he was gifted in his field and he had also worked as a truck driver. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather especially to his son, William and also guided his step children, Melissa and James, teaching them strong family values. He also took care of his wife, Rosalie and her family and had lived in Florida for 35 years.
He is survived by his wife, Rosalie (Guthrie) Brown; son, William J. Brown of Mansfield; step daughter, Melissa Saunders of Mansfield; step son, James (Gina) Saunders of West Virginia; grandchildren, Lonnie Saunders, Misty Collins, John Austin Saunders and Jamie Saunders; great grandchildren, Walker and Preston Bohom; and sisters, Carolyn (Sonny) Pendelton, Donna Sue (Chalmer) Bradshaw, Phyllis Cook all of Mansfield, Wilma Marvel of California and Ellie Mae Brown of Cincinnati, OH. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, William Micheal Brown; three brothers, Randall, Michael and Paul Brown; and a sister, Wanda Fay Brown.
Friends may call from from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, November 2, 2011 at the Ontario Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Road, Ontario. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, November 3, 2011 at the funeral home conducted by Rev. Glenn Philips.
