1934 - 2015 James A, Jim Abbey, 81, a lifelong resident of Beaumont passed away on Sunday October 18, 2015 in Beaumont. Jim was born September 6, 1934 in Kansas City, Kansas to his parents Roy and Helen Abbey who preceded him in death. Also preceding him in death were his wife Marie Abbey, son William Archer Abbey, brother, William H. Abbey, and grandson James Clayton Foreman. Jim was an Automobile Salesman, attended St. Stephen's Episcopal Church in Beaumont and was a United States Marine Corps Veteran between The Korean Conflict and Viet Nam. He was a graduate with the Class of 1952 from South Park High School in Beaumont. He loved traveling, playing golf, doing woodworking in his shop, watching his favorite teams, The Houston Astros and Dallas Cowboys, and most especially his greatest love was the times he spent with all the grandchildren. Surviving Jim are his girlfriend Linda Lawrence, son, Wesley A. Abbey and fiance'e Stacey Long, son Clay Abbey all of Beaumont, daughter, Cara Mark of Dallas, step-sons, Clay Foreman and wife Joyce of Delaware, Ohio, Mike Foreman and wife Tammy of Brenham, five grandchildren, Jared Abbey, Devin Abbey, Dayton Abbey, Hayden Mark, Chloe Mark, and four step-grandchildren, Sage Sheets and husband Tim, Jennifer Foreman, Kelli Roche and husband Darrin, and John Foreman. Memorial Services will be held on Thursday October 22, 2015 at 1:00 P.M. at the Forest Lawn Funeral Home Chapel with inurnment services to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont.
