Cecilia E. Kotchi, age 94, of Two Rivers, passed away peacefully on Monday morning, October 19, 2015 at Manitowoc Health & Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc.Cecilia was born November 5, 1920 in Door County, daughter of the late Anton and Heneritta "Hattie" (Karnitz) Ploor. She graduated from Washington High School, Two Rivers with the class of 1938. On September 28, 1940 she married Albert L. Kotchi at St. Mark's Catholic Church, Two Rivers. He preceded her in death on May 30, 2003.Cecilia worked at Hamilton's for 35 years, retiring on March 30, 1983. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary, St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, Lioness, and Two Rivers Senior Center. Cecilia loved spending time with family, especially on the July 4th family outing at Higgins Lake, MI. She enjoyed the winters at Lake Havasu City, AZ since 1984 with family and friends. Cecilia loved to travel, golf, dance, work in the yard and the Green Bay Packers.Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law: Gary and Joyce Kotchi, Roscommon, MI; two grandchildren: Scott Kotchi, Shelby Township, MI; Kevin (Jill) Kotchi, Sterling Heights, MI; and two great grandchildren: Ryan and Carson Kotchi. Cecilia is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law Leo & Edna Ploor, sister and brother-in-law Ruth & Ray Barbeau and several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Adelia & Ed Cornils, Florence & Bernie Baugniet, Fran & Ray Kretz, Neil & Gladys Kotchi, Edward & Jane Kotchi, Stan & Irene Kotchi, Joe & Gertrude Kotchi and Jerome & Julita Kotchi.Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, October 26, 2015 at St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church, Two Rivers. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Maurice Mmegbaudimma with entombment to take place at Calvary Chapel Mausoleum, Manitowoc.
