Mrs. Guenia Faye Kanaday, age 88 of Dahlonega, passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2015 at her residence following an extended illness.

Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, October 21, 2015 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Reverend Darren Palmer and Reverend Charles Buice will officiate.

Mrs. Kanaday was born September 17, 1927 in Dahlonega, Georgia to the late J. D. Abercrombie and Ella Mae Anderson Abercrombie. She was retired form Northeast Georgia Medical Center and was a member of Wahoo Baptist Church. Guenia was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Marvin Kanaday, her sister, Glancie Ledford and her brothers, Rudolph Abercrombie and Y. D. Abercrombie.

Mrs. Kanaday is survived by her sister, Mae Edmondson of Clermont, her brothers, J. C. Abercrombie and Sam Abercrombie, both of Chester, South Carolina and a number of nieces and nephews.
