Chesapeake - Jill Frances Willmann, 58, of Chesapeake, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, October 20, 2015.

Born in Absecon, NJ she was the daughter of Marie Schmincke and the late Edward Schmincke. She was also predeceased by her brother, Edward Schmincke, Jr. Jill was a retired Marine Corps Master Sergeant, who served worldwide with her husband Mark. Following her retirement from the Corps, she served in a variety of positions both at the U.S. Joint Forces Command and later the Joint Staff. Jill enjoyed mountaineering in Scotland with her husband, Mark as well as hiking and other outdoor related activities. She was an avid gardener and beekeeper. She also enjoyed being a mother to her sons, Karl and Kurt. Throughout her life, Jill touched many lives throughout the military and community. She will be deeply missed.

In addition to her mother, Jill is survived by her husband of 35 years, Mark L. Willmann; sons, Karl and Kurt Willmann; siblings, Jeanne, Janet, Julie, Jackie, June and David; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

Jill’s life will be celebrated Monday, October 26, 2015 at Oman Funeral Home & Crematory, 653 Cedar Road, Chesapeake. Bishop Douglas M. Anthony will officiate. The interment will follow in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens.
