Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday at Bold Springs Cemetery near West, with O. C. Stone officiating. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Aderhold Funeral Home in West.
Donald was born December 12, 1937 in West, the son of the late Ota C. and Roxie H. (Callen) Stone. He attended schools in Ross and the West area. On April 27, 1974, he was united in marriage to Linda Jean Raney in Lancaster. Donald worked for Blue Print Delivery in Dallas for several years, retiring in 2003. He also worked for Alamo Steel in Waco for a few years. Donald enjoyed traveling, drinking coffee with his friends, shopping for bargains, and loved to share his faith with everyone.
He is preceded in death by two brothers, James Stone and Ray Stone; two sisters, Ella Mae Bajer and Martha Lou Harley.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 41 years, Linda Stone of Irving; five brothers, Roy Stone, O. C. Stone and wife Rita, Tommy Stone and wife Bea, Bobby Stone and wife Connie and Jerry Stone and wife Georgia; two sisters, Willie Lois Morgan and Helen Fellner; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of choice.
