Mr. Donald Euclid Alewine, 79, of Royston, GA passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2015, at the Brown Health and Rehabilitation in Royston, GA.
Mr. Alewine was born in Royston, GA on February 14, 1936, son of the late George Lonnie Alewine and the late Faris Odell Carnes Alewine. He was a general laborer having worked with Tennaco (formerly Monroe Auto Equipment) and a member of the Royston Baptist Church. Mr. Alewine was a member of the Harrison Lee McCrary Jr. Post #4828 and a U.S. Navy Veteran having served during the Korean Conflict and did 2 tours on the USS Princeton.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Alewine was preceded in death by his wife, Deryl Guest Alewine.
Survivors include his caregiver, Darlene Parker; dog, an American Eskimo Spitz named Lacy; cat, Cloe; special friend, Brenda Phillips.
Funeral services for Mr. Alewine will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 24, 2015, at the Pruitt Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jonathan Barlow officiating. Interment will follow in the Rose Hill Cemetery in Royston, GA.
The family will receive friends at Pruitt Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. until funeral hour on Saturday afternoon. The family is at their respective homes. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Royston Animal Hospital, 2888 West Main Street, Royston, GA 30662.
