Born in Canton, NC she moved to St. Petersburg in 1960 from Sumter, South Carolina, and to Bradenton from St Petersburg in 1970. She was a partner in the firm of Alcott & Associates and was a licensed Real Estate Broker. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of St. Petersburg, and Palma Sola Presbyterian Church of Bradenton. She was an accredited flower show judge, became an avid golfer in self defense to avoid becoming a golf widow, and was an accomplished bridge player. Predeceased by her parents, Roy and Bertha Trammell, at the time of her death she was survived by her husband, three sons and their wives, one brother, one brother-in-law, four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
