Henry enlisted with the Army Selective Service and began his tour in Vietnam on 5 August 1970 at age 19. He was attached to the 198th Light Infantry Brigade, 1st Battalion, 52nd Infantry, Company B. Unfortunately, he encountered hostile forces and was killed a short two weeks later.
