Alton Vernon Chase, 59, of 190 Telegraph Rd., Dennis Port, died Monday, June 12 at Pondville Hospital. He had been a self employed building contractor and carpenter for many years. Born in Brockton, he came to Cape Cod at an early age and was a student at the Ezra Baker and Yarmouth high schools. An Air Force veteran of World War II, he attended the Pentacostal Church in South Dennis and bowled with the Dennis Port Pharmacy team at the Orleans Bowling Center for several seasons. Survivors include his widow Roberta Oliver Chase; two sons, Ronald J. of South Yarmouth and Kenneth V. of Marstons Mills; a brother Russell E. Chase of Centerville; two grandchildren. Burial was in Swan Lake Cemetery.
