Clifford Henry LaKosky was born 29 October 1910 in Virginia, Minnesota. He was the oldest son of Sylvester Joe and Lucille Enders LaKosky.
Following his elementary education in Virginia, Minnesota schools, he worked as a plasterer, a trade he learned from his father.
In 1936 he was married to Helen Adele Tomes, the daughter of John R. and Hulda M. Tomes. From this union one son was born on 21 December 1936, Randall Aloise LaKosky.
Clifford passed away in Hibbing, Minnesota at the age of 83 on 8 March 1993. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Adele; two sisters, Lorna C. Gurkskell and Vaudice Elaine Kindred; and three brothers, Lynn, Wallace, and William R. LaKosky.
