Theodosia T. Carpenter was born December 1852 in South Carolina and died 10 December 1911 in Waldo, Alachua, Florida. Theodosia T. Carpenter Williams is buried in the Laurel Grove Cemetery. Her daughter Effie is also buried in Laurel Grove Cemetery under the name of Effie Carpenter Gentry.
Effie married first Thomas Caswell Manning on the 9 March 1897 the place of marriage is unknown. Thomas Caswell Manning died the 6 July 1902 in Waldo, Alachua County, Florida. He, also, is buried in the Laurel Grove Cemetery in Waldo.
Thomas and Effie Manning had two children:
1. Thomas Caswell Manning was born 21 July 1898 in Florida; died 2 August 1982 in Palm Beach County, Florida. Do not know if he was married as of 17 February 2011.
2. Marguerite Manning was born 6 June 1902 in Florida. She married about 1924 Thomas Jackson Barns. Thomas was born 21 December 1895 in Florida and died 21February 1997 in Pinellas County, Florida. Marguerite Manning, died the 23 June 1994 in Pinellas County, Florida. Do not at this time know where Marguerite and Thomas are buried.
Thomas and Marguerite Barns had one daughter, Barbara Ann Barns born about 1931 in Florida. No further information at this time.
After Thomas Caswell Manning died, Effie married J. J. Gentry on the 25 October 1906 place of marriage unknown. So sad to say Effie died on the 4 October 1907 in Spartanburg County, South Carolina, the cause of her death not known.
