Louis W. "Bill" Walters III, 75, of Meridian, passed away Thursday, October 22, 2015, in a Clifton care facility. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, October 26, in the Lawson Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Tuesday, October 27, 2015, in the Meridian First Baptist Church with Rev. Drew Dabbs and Rev. Aaron Ogburn officiating. Burial will be in Smith Bend-Coon Creek Cemetery.

Parents: the late Louis William Walters Jr. and Mary Elizabeth Crouch Walters

Education: served as a United States Senate page, where he would graduate from Capitol Page High School in 1958; began his college education at Arkansas State in Jonesboro, Arkansas, later transferring to the University of Houston, and graduated in 1964 with a degree in mathematics
