Louise J. Cornish, 82, widow of Charles W. Barber, died at 1:05 AM today at her home at 122 Turin St. Her death followed an illness of three weeks.
Mrs. Barber was born in the town of Lee on June 15, 1851, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Allen Wendell Cornish. Sixty two years ago last November she married Mr. Barber who died five years ago last October. She had resided in Rome for 42 years.
Mrs. Barber, who attended the First Baptist Church, is survived by three daughters, Mrs. F. Z. Jones and Mrs. Albert E. Adey of Rome and Mrs. A. C. Steer of Sandusky, O., two sons, Charles W. of Leroy, and Allen C. of Watertown, Mass, six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
